Argentina: Natamycin in cheese

Argentina approves use Natamycin in some of its products. Keep in mind this a substance with limitations around the world. Natamycin may be applied in the outside of cheese, processed cheese, requeijao, and ricotta without exceeding the 12.5 µg/g. This product is useful for preventing the appearance of fungi and yeasts for a long period of time. It’s a fungicide that prevents yeasts and moulds from appearing in foods.
