Can natamycin be added on the surface of eggs?

Yes. In the United States, adding natamycin to the surface of washed and pasteurised eggs has shown that it is possible to extend the shelf life of this extremely perishable food. Financial losses are thereby minimised and the result is eggs that can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month.
