Can Gouda cheese contain natamycin?

The CODEX (International Foods Standards) determines a maximum dose of natamycin present in Gouda cheese at 2 mg/dm2 and that it should be absent at a depth of 5 mm. The use of natamycin is only indicated for the surface of the cheese.
